Potiron PHW Birkin 25 Togo Leather Bag by Hermès

Good Condition (2007)

Details

In 1984, on a flight from Paris to London, the singer, actress Jane Birkin found herself sitting next to Hermès executive chairman Jean-Louis Dumas. She complained to Dumas that designer handbags were never big enough to carry all the things a young mum needs. Together they scribbled out a sketch of a holdall bag on the back of a sick bag. A year later Dumas presented to Birkin what would become the Birkin bag, modelled after her signature handwoven basket. Since then the Hermès Birkin bag has become and remained the epitome of all handbags, a classic icon and considered an investment piece. This coveted Birkin 25 is in good condition. It is crafted from iconic Togo leather in discontinued Potiron color, featuring chic Palladium Hardware. Please note, this vintage bag shows signs of having been repainted in some parts.
