Fendi was founded in 1925 by Edoardo and Adele Fendi in Rome and began as an elegant handbag label and fur workshop. With the support of British Vogue accessories editor Tamara Mellon, Jimmy Choo co-founded his eponymous shoe label in London in 1996. From the beginning, the brand received global recognition for creating playfully glamorous shoes and accessories that are handcrafted in Italy. After working alongside Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent founded his own label in 1966.
